I wish it weren't painted--I can only image how much lead or cadmium is in the paint--but it does the job I need. All the tightening bolts seem to work well, and I like the design of the top bar. The noose (is that the right word?) it comes with is also very nice, in that it's soft, not too thin (width-wise), and easy to adjust. All in all, I'm very happy with this purchase, which was a tough one to commit to, given the price.
