This cable is expensive. Over $100 for a 4 foot cable. The “eye” that connects the cable to the park-brake pedal broke on the factory original (4 years). There are no non-OEM parts available to do the job. It would be an easy job if the new part was identical to the old one. But it is not. Deere has redesigned the steel sleeve that installs through a hole cut into the dash panel/floorpan. The original cable sleeve was much slimmer than the new one. This meant enlarging the hole by 1/4”. It’s not easy to get to with a power tool. Had to file it out with a small hand file. Once the hole was enlarged, I was able to install the cable. Putting the circlip on the cable was a real challenge. Not a lot of room to get your fingers or a tool in there. It’s nice to have a park-brake again. Hope this one lasts more than 4 years.
